GLR Pizza: It’s slap your Momma good!

I live on a farm. That farm is called Good Life Ranch. In Texas there is a difference between farms and ranches. In Kentucky, I’m not sure, but what we live on here would be called a ranch there. GLR is a magical place filled with turkeys and goats and bunnies and coyotes and bamboo forests and bear caves and pizza. Really good pizza.

Homemade whole wheat dough with tomato basil sauce and fresh mozzarella.

Layer on the national meat of Canada (not moose).

Top with sauteed onions, baby bellas, fresh cracked black pepper and evoo.

Bake 'til bubbly.

Eat!

It’s no pickle-dog, but it’ll do.

I’ll be right over. I have a question, what is evoo?? Both Lyle and I really enjoy your writing about the GLR. Just spent Wednesday with Sally at her new place in Conway…is it so neat.

Bear caves? For real? Have you been in one? Did you say “Hi” to the resident bear? And oh yes the pizza looks scrumptious. And today I read the Turkey Sex blog to my parents so we could all laugh together. Then I showed them the GLR website. They are in much admiration of your writing skills and Geoff’s farming and ranching expertise. They would love to visit.

Bonnie– your parents can come anytime, especially since you never let me meet them before 🙂

Is the whole wheat pizza crust recipe published somewhere? I would love to have it, since we can’t just drop by to steal a piece for supper. I’d prefer pineapple over mushrooms, but other than that, it looks yummy!
