Ooodalolly, Ooodalolly, Golly What a Day
It has been a while since we’ve had a “day in the life” post, so here we go. I rose at dawn to go to school and teach the youth of America. I thwarted some minor insurrections, squashed a few dissidents, upheld civil rights, distributed and collected sass, and returned the laptops to their home base in basically proper working order. Then I drove the hour to E-town to run some errands that I could not run in C-ville. I returned to the ranch around 7:45 PM and joined Geoff in the evening chores. One of the chores involved checking the strawberry patch for ripe strawberries. We ended up bringing in five pounds or more of them. We put three quarts up in the freezer and left the rest fresh. But before we could preserve the strawberries we had to go out to the back of the property and chase chickens into the Yolks-wagon. The chickens were not cooperative. It is now 9:42 and I am pretty sure I am having strawberries for dinner.
