Cheep, cheep, cheep!

March 27, 2011

What’s that? Oh, it’s the sound of 29 healthy, thriving, Black Australorp chicks that successfully hatched from our incubator. These guys are fierce. Currently they are romping around the brood house pecking at anything that looks like food. They have great instincts, strong voices, and are ready for action.

We are pretty happy about the success of this group of chicks. Especially since our first batch yielded only two. As much as we love Thomas and Not Thomas, it is way more encouraging to see almost 30 of the little guys strutting their stuff. We’re loving life here at GLR.

Oh, and Thomas and Not Thomas say hi, too.
