About
I am a teacher and native urban dweller who is about to embark on a rural adventure. My husband and I plan on opening a farm and experiential learning center in rural Kentucky. We have two cute, mischievous dogs, supportive friends and relatives, and an underdeveloped sense of the impossible. Stayed tuned as our story begins…

Lindsey, I’m so enjoying getting to know you through your writing. Thanks for encouraging Adele to begin her own blog. Your blog, her blog – so much good reading!
All the best as you continue your journey!

Where are you in KY? It’s a wonderful place to be!
I really enjoyed your post today…found it while tag surfing. My husband & I are raising layers who are at about 17 wks. old; no eggs until at least Oct. Today we found out that his grandma is being moved off the farm into a Nursing Home and will be getting rid of her 20-30 hens, numerous ducks, roasters, etc… We’re going to take at least 6 of the layers so we can begin selling eggs at our local farmers market.
Sorry, it seems I’m blogging on your blog! This is my first time having layers so it’s a new journey for me. I’ll look forward to reading more from your adventures.
Thanks!

Hey farm lady,
Our friend Ben Evans sent us a link to your blog and I have really enjoyed exploring it. We are a CSA farm family in Henry County, KY, and I’ve just become a high school teacher (spanish) and mom in the last year. Would love to meet you all, seems like we have a lot in common. Hope you all are enjoying this cooler weather and that the Fall is good to you!

I am interested in finding out who the artist or who has the rights to the cartoon of the kungfu chicken. Please let me know at your earliest convenience… I would be interested in paying for the rights to use it for a franchise company.
